Filmboard recently has change to showing Ads in Widescreen. While there is no "real" size in PP slides, we have recently switched to DVD's Widescreen format of 16:9 from PP's default 4:3 ratio. This has greatly improved the amount of screen your slide is shown on, on our real theater-widescreen (2.39:1) screen.

But, soon we will be switching to true movie theater widescreen 2.39:1 format and use our whole screen.

Why do you, the slide maker need to know all of this? Because of the volume of bad looking slides Filmboard receives.

You need to be aware of the aspect ratio of your side and of your images. If you forget and make a standard PP slide that contains images, then later resize the slide, PowerPoint will stretch all of you images in a way the usually looks really bad.

When we switch to 2.39:1 the problem gets even worse.

A blank PP slide in the interum 16:9 format, with embedded fonts pre-enabled, is avalible here for download. Otherwise we want the slide to be in MS PowerPoint (non-07) format, with embedded fonts.
